Help improve recovery after whiplash

Have you had whiplash after a motor vehicle crash? Your experiences can help shape better treatments for thousands of Australians.

Join the Whiplash Research Registry

The RECOVER Injury Research Centre, based at The University of Queensland, leads world-class research to understand how people recover after a road traffic injury and how we can improve that process. Our studies explore:

  • The biological mechanisms causing whiplash
  • Early interventions to reduce the risk of experiencing chronic pain
  • Physical and psychological rehabilitation programs that promote better recovery
  • Digital health tools that provide tailored support after a whiplash injury
  • New drug treatment options tested in clinical trials to reduce long-term pain after a road traffic injury

Why take part in whiplash research?

By joining the Whiplash Research Registry, you may:

  • Access new or enhanced approaches to whiplash treatment
  • Contribute to research that shapes better treatment for others
  • Help us understand why some people recover quickly while others experience ongoing symptoms
  • Receive news and updates about whiplash research outcomes and opportunities to get involved
